(Note: These items were purchased with my own money during a sample sale.)
I think it’s only right that I start this review off with a confession.
I virtually never wear my actual bra size (shock horror!) which is mostly down to a combination of not wanting to admit that I’m actually a 28DD and not a 30D and barely being able to find bras in a 28DD, let alone ones that actually fit.
Attollo are a brand that have been on my radar for a while. The story behind the brand is one that really resonated with me, given how often I resort to wearing bras that don’t quite fit. I have been searching and searching for a brand that makes wearable, everyday styles in my size that don’t cost the earth and by god I think I’ve finally found it.
As per the advice on Attollo’s website and after consulting their size guide I settled on ordering the Lily Bra in light blue in a 28E and despite initially being somewhat hesitant of how it would fit I was delighted to find it fit perfectly. The band fits snuggly without feeling too tight or pinching and the mesh used on the inside of the bra is beautifully soft and comfortable. The band is wide enough to provide ample support for my bust, and a triple hook and eye fastening adds a nice extra level of security. I adore the lace that has been used to cover the outside of the bra, it's so delicate and much like the internal mesh it is incredibly soft. The photos on their website really don’t quite do the light blue colour of this set justice as it’s so hard to capture in a photograph but know that it looks fantastic in person.
I purchased the matching Letty Brazilian knicker in a size small, given that this was the smallest size offered by the brand. Despite having initial reservations about the size, they fit surprising well, in a perfect world I would prefer to wear an XS as I tend to sit closer to a UK 6 than a UK 8-10 but they are comfortable enough to wear for a full day with no issues! The knickers feature the same light blue lace as the bra as well as a contrasting floral stretch satin waistband which is a nice design touch that ties the set in with some of Attollo's other offerings and provides options for those of us partial to a bit of mixing and matching.
In terms of the quality, I am incredibly impressed with this set especially having bought it at a reduced price during a sample sale. The seams are all extremely neat and both garments are finished well, I would have happily paid full price for this set without question.
Overall, I am impressed with Attollo not just for their lingerie but for the message behind their brand and their continued effort to ensure women are wearing the correct bra size. I am so glad I finally decided to take the plunge and give this brand a try, because I will most definitely be purchasing from them again (especially when the Gigi high waisted knicker is back in stock!)
